Friends of ESS raise £3,000 for Hope House Charity

Belfast Security and Fire Safety company ESS, in association with friends and family has raised £3,000 for local charity ‘Hope House’, which provides free accommodation to cancer patients and carers at any time during or after completion of treatment.

The funds were raised via a sponsored walk which travelled from Lady Dixon Park to Shaws Bridge and back again with more than 35 participating – all within Covid guidelines.

Hope House is located on the water’s edge at the picturesque beach of Browns Bay in Islandmagee, overlooking the sea and the surrounding countryside between Larne & Carrickfergus.

This charity holds a special place in the heart of ESS employee, John McKeown who had the privilege of staying and making memories in the final days of his late father’s life.

Hope House is currently in the process of extending its accommodation offering which will enable more families to experience its serenity, tranquillity, and incredible service provision. The funds raised will support the charity’s expansion plans.
