Over the last 12 months; BT Openreach have been making plans that will result in the UK’s Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) being switched off by 2025.

The project commenced in early 2020 and will gather momentum over the coming months and years.  

These changes will have a major impact on security systems, telecare systems and even things such as lift alarms – all things that people need to use in the event of an emergency.

Your alarm signalling system currently uses a digital communicator which is connected directly to your phone line. This will not operate after the Openreach changes.
